STATEMENT OF FAITH
1. We believe in the inspiration of the scriptures by God the Holy Spirit through holy men of God. (2 Tim. 3:16-17;2 Pet. 1:19-21)
2. We believe the scriptures are authoritative in their teachings, inerrant in their details, infallible in their prophecies, and efficacious in their dealings with sinners. (2 Tim. 3:16-17; Psa. 19:7-14; 2 Pet. 1:19-21
3. We believe in the providential preservation of the scriptures through the body of Christ, the Church, and that the preservation has been through the Hebrew Masoretic text, the Greek Received text (Textus Receptus), and the faithful, complete translations of these texts, the ultimate representation in any language being the Authorized King James Version of 1611. (Psa. 12:6-7; Matt. 24:35)
4. We believe in the one, true, living God, Creator of heaven and earth, who is all powerful, all present, all knowing, all righteous, and unchanging in his attitudes of judgment and mercy toward sinners. (Gen. 1:1; John 1:1-3; Col. 1:15-19 ;1 Thess. 1:9; Eph. 4:4-6; 2:4)
5. We believe in the manifestation of God in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. (1 John 5:7)
6. We believe in God the Son in His existence from eternity past as the Word of God, His incarnation through the virgin birth Mary as Jesus Christ, His sinless life as the Son of Man, His miraculous ministry as the Messiah of Israel, His power to forgive sins as the Son of God, His vicarious atonement on the cross as the Lamb of God, His bodily resurrection as the Saviour of the world, His ascension to the right hand of the Father as our great High Priest, His continual intercession for us as the only mediator between God and man, His coming again for the church as the Head of the Body, and His bodily return as King of Kings and Lord of Lords. (John 1:1,14; Matt. 1:21-25 ;1 Tim. 3:16; Matt. 5:48; John 18:38; 19:4,6; 2:1-11; Matt. 9:6) (John 20:23; Col. 1:14; 1 Pet. 1:18-19; Matt. 28:5-6; Heb. 2:17; 3:1; 4:5,14;
1 Tim. 2:5) (John 14: 1-4; Rev. 19:16)
7. We believe in the eternal judgment of the sinner in hell and the eternal reward of the righteous in heaven. (Rom. 6:23; Rev. 20:14-15; 2 Cor. 5:10-11; 1 Cor. 3:10-15)
8. We believe all men are sinners and incapable in their own righteousness to eradicate their sin and gain entrance to heaven. (Rom. 3:10,23; 5:12; John 14:6)
9. We believe that man is saved from penalty, power, and presence of sin and given the righteousness of God by his personal acceptance of the sacrifice of Christ on the cross and His bodily resurrection from the dead. (Rom. 4:5; John 1:12; 1 Cor. 15:1-4; Rom. 10:9,13)
10. We believe that upon salvation a man is indwelt by the Spirit of God, Baptized by that Spirit into the body of Christ, and sealed by the Spirit “unto the day of redemption.” 1 Cor. 3:16, 17, 6:19, 20; Eph. 1:13; 1 Cor. 12:13; Eph.4:30)
11. We believe that after salvation a Christian should in obedience to Christ’s command and example, make a public profession of faith, be baptized by immersion in water, be joined in fellowship and service to a local New Testament church, and live as closely as possible in fellowship and obedience to his Lord. (Matt.28:18-20; Heb. 10:25)
12. We believe that a local New Testament church is a body of saved, baptized believers overseen by a pastor(s) and served as deacon(s) has two ordinances which are memorials (baptism and the Lord’s Supper), and is commissioned to give the gospel to “every creature.”
(Acts 16:5; Matt. 28:18-20; I Tim. 3:1-7; Matt. 28:19; Lk. 22:19, 20; Mk. 16:15)
13. We believe in the Premillennial return of the Lord Jesus Christ before the Tribulation to receive every Christian to Himself. (I Thess. 4:13-18; I Cor. 15:51-58; Tit. 2:13)
